Enchanté...

Canada's Sultry Songstress, Karen Myatt, kick-starts her solo musical career
with style and swagger on June 2 at The Carleton Music Bar & Grill in
Halifax.
Backed
by a trio of renowned local musicians - David Langstroth (bass), Holly
Arsenault (piano) and Stephanie McKeown (percussion) - Myatt will perform two
sets of smooth, smokey songbook selections.
"This
will be an enchanting evening of classic and contemporary standards," says
the vocalist, who has received popular and critical acclaim for her work in New
York, Toronto, Montreal, and in Halifax with Neptune Theatre, TAG and her own
production Broadway Without Borders.
"Fans
of Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Edith Piaf, Peggy Lee and Blossom Dearie will
be delighted," promises Myatt. "We'll be showcasing several newer
pieces as well, a few surprises."
Several
surprise special guests will be joining the twenty-something singer on stage at
The Carleton.
"I'm
not spilling the beans," she smiles slyly, "You'll have to check out
the show and see for yourself."
Tickets
for the June 2, 8pm performance are $10 and are available at the door on the
night of the show or in advance at www.thecarleton.ca
