Karen Myatt to perform with Symphony Nova Scotia!

Atlantic Canada's sultry songstress Karen Myatt makes her debut with Symphony Nova Scotia on July 27 & 28 at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium in Halifax.

Myatt will be making a special guest appearance at the Thorgy Thor concerts, performing several solo songs.

Thorgy Thor is the reigning “queen of classical music” ~ achieving worldwide fame as the star of the hit television program RuPaul’s Drag Race.

"I am a huge fan,” says Myatt. “Aside from being hilarious, the TV show broke down all sorts of barriers for the LBGT community and, really, for people of all diverse backgrounds. Thorgy, of course, has been a big part of that process.

“And the opportunity to take the stage with a world-class orchestra at such a prestigious venue is thrilling ~ it truly is a dream come true.”

Hot on the heels of her recently sold-out Just Jazz concert at the Halifax Distilling Co., the Symphony Nova Scotia performance is one in a string of summer shows for the Nova Scotia chanteuse.

On Friday, August 17, she returns to the Halifax Distilling Co. with Calendar Girl - showcasing the life and work of renowned American singer and actress Julie London.

In addition, the vocalist will be appearing  at Nova Multifest in Dartmouth on July 28 (afternoon), and as part of Halifax’s Summer Sounds at Barrington series on August 14.
